Gardening/Flower help
I have 2 hanging baskets I want to fill and hang over my front porch. My house is north facing so the porch doesnt get much sun at all. Anyone know what annual flowers would do well? I was hoping to do wave petunias. Thank you.

Re: Gardening/Flower help
impatients are good for no sun, wave petunias need at least 6 hours of direct sun a day.
Here is more info about wave petunias Wave Petunias

yup- impatiens are great for no sun ( my parents have owned a garden center for 20 years) you can also do dragon wing begonias, which are good for shade... everything else really needs at least a few hours of sun day.

Coleous works nice in part shade too. I just planted a hanging basket with a large double impatients and a few coleous and just one petunia. It should do OK with the light sun it gets, and I'm not depending on that for fullness, just some trailing color.

Re: Gardening/Flower help
my favorite thing hanging from a porch is ferns. they love shade. BTW the grasses I got from you last spring are HUGE & the rocks are part of our new pond. I'll take pics this weekend
