Gardeners - what do i do with my impatiens?
they have finally thinned out. do i just rip them out of the ground? do i let them continue to die? please help me!

impatients are annuals so yes rip them out.

i always give human emotion to non-human things. i think i am going to hear them cry :(

so do I! it just breaks my heart to see an orange "X" on a perfectly healthy tree. i know that tree is coming down and it just doesnt seem right.

Yup....and don't wait for the first snow, which I made a mistake of doing once, cause they get very slimey at that point as you try to pull them out.

Compost them along with your fall leaves so they can help the new impatiens next year.
