garden centers on Long Island/Queens
I plan on visiting Hicks Nurseries in Westbury this weekend, and I have Verdino's in Queens right by my house....but I'm looking for a specific flowering tree and I want to call ahead before I go so I don't waste time....can you please name any garden centers in your area? I know I've driven past a bunch when I'm out shopping but I'm having major brain farts today
eta: I am super impressed I'm allowed to say farts on here! (I'm going to consider that the fart smiley!)

Re: garden centers on Long Island/Queens
thanks! I checked Garden World already and they don't have the tree I was looking for (either a flowering plum or magnolia). I'll call the others though!

LS Garden Mart 82 Horace Harding Blvd. Great Neck, NY 11020 516-487-9289 Ask for Phil Jr. Tell him Dee told you to call he will give you a discount. If they don't have the tree you are looking for they can get it for you.

Re: garden centers on Long Island/Queens
Ciprianos in East Meadow. Family owned, better prices than Hicks and other large nurseries, and great service.
It's pretty far out but there's Cheap Sams in Holtsville.
