Gamers?
I have no idea about any of those game systems. My DH has been bugging me for a Play Station. I found this one. Is this good? He wants one that can play HD movies on it too. I'm not worried about the not being able to play PS2 games since this will be the first game system we have ever had. TIA!!!

I hear the PS3 is pretty good but my stepson, nephew and all their friends swear by the XBox 360 with Xbox Live...

Sony has blu-ray, not HD dvd. Its similar, but not exactly the same.
My DH swears by the xbox 360. He would never consider any other gaming system besides xbox.
You can buy an hd dvd player for the 360.
