FYI: Wegmans, TJs recall fruit
A fellow cheer coach received a call from costco telling her to discard peaches and nectarines also-I guess they used their records and called customers.
I have to check the ones I have at home-I've been eating an insane amount of nectarines lately

Re: FYI: Wegmans, TJs recall fruit
You hear about Lysteria a LOT more with fruits and veges than you ever do with cold cuts. Yet all the pregnant women avoid cold cuts and not fruit. Ironic.

The amount of peaches/nectarines I've had in the last 2 months is a little ridiculous…So this is a bit concerning

This is NOT exclusive to these two stores. A large grower issued the recall, and they ship to many wholesalers, etc. Meaning, you could pick these peaches up ANYWHERE. Even "local" produce stands, many of whom purchase non-local fruit and peel PLU stickers off of them...
Eastern Peaches are OK - look it up by the label

This is why I ate strictly junk food while pregnant. I wanted to mitigate the risk of listeria from the healthy fruits and veges! Never had a problem with my hot dogs, cold cuts and McD's cheeseburgers!

I completely agree!!!! Reason why I was so lax about it during pregnancy. There are so many "don'ts" it's ridiculous!!! So stupid.

I was wondering about this because my husband ate a plum last night and he was throwing up violently. He also said he had a headache all day and then a pain behind his eye, so it could have been a migraine....not sure if eating he plum was the reason for the vomiting or just coincidence.
ETA: the plum was from a local supermarket.

It usually takes a few days for the listeria symptoms to appear, from what I understand. More likely it was from the migraine. My understanding is that it can take anywhere from 2 days up to 2 months for symptoms to appear.

Symptoms of listeria take 1-3 weeks to show up, and are usually in the form of severe diarrhea, so I doubt it was the plum.
I live in PA and got a robo call that I had purchased the recalled fruit from wegmans. Of course my 2 year old had finished eating a nectarine like 10 minutes before.
