furniture help
I went to BRU today and found a crib and dresser I like and then we also went to Behr's and I fell in love with a crib and dresser. Behr's is about $500 more than BRU. Which would you choose?
BRU- Chantal Linen
Behr- Venezia Antique White

I feel in love with the chantal set also! You can't beat the crystal knobs haha and its cheaper than the other set. But quality wise I dont know which one is better

Did you price it elsewhere? You can find it cheaper than at Behr's. I am furniture shopping now for DD2, and it is not all about looks - there is a huge range in quality.

I took my DH with my yesterday and he said the quality of the furniture is basically the same. Just the embellishments in the furniture are different. As fas as pricing around, I have looked at Behr's is actually the cheapest which I was shocked about it.

I have to admit I've had all kinds of major issues with Babies R Us regarding the furniture, but in the end we are sticking with them because I LOVE the Chantal Linen - this is our set too!!

I like the look of the BRU set better but after hearing people's issues with them I would probably lean towards ordering something from Behrs. We have had nothing but great experiences with them.

Oh god, long story. First they were out of stock so they had me order all three pieces online while at the store (crib, dresser, double dresser). The order was cancelled because they were out of stock online too without anyone notifying me... so I wasted about four weeks waiting for furniture to come in when it wasn't even ordered. I didn't find out the order was cancelled until I called to find out why it was taking so long.
When the pieces were back in stock, I had to rush to the store to order them on 3 separate occasions... 3 separate orders for each piece because they were not all in stock at the same time.
When the dresser came in, we rented a uhaul to go pick it up and the box was basically smashed so we refused to take it. Wasted money on a uhaul and had to reorder.
All 3 pieces finally came in again. We took them all home and opened the boxes. Two of the 3 pieces have issues. The dresser wobbles and has a drawer hat doesn't close right. The crib has multiple cracks in the finish. Both had to get reordered and now I wait... AGAIN....
If I wasn't in love with this set i would never tolerate this... my husband is ready to explode.... they have one more chance to make this right and then I will reluctantly move on to another set from another store....

Oh wow!! I am sorry you are going through this. Thank you for sharing your experience. I think I am going to some research on this set and see if this is common issue.
