Furniture

I have been noticing a lot of threads that the furniture is not in. When did everyone buy there furniture? I am not having a baby shower so I would not get it there and yesterday my MIL told me she would buy me the crib and dresser (and instead of dresser we will get a changing table). TIA!

With my last pregnancy we bought ours from Behrs...ordered in January, received it in March, due in April...we ordered Munire furniture and were told it was a 12+ week wait, but it ended up being available in 8 weeks and we scheduled delivery for when it was convenient to us...this time, I will probably order my furniture about earlier because we are transitioning my dd to a new room with the new furniture...

I am trying to spend as little as I need to. Obviously a quality crib. I told my mother I wasn't even going to Behr's or Bellini to look! I have a friend who spent 1000 on her crib there. I only spent 1000 on my bed and Im going to use it more than a few years!!!!!

I ordered it from BBB just before Christmas and it was delivered the last week of February. They said 12-16 weeks.

I got my Bonavita crib at BBB and it was in stock the day we placed the order. We tried to take it home the same day, but it didn't fit in our CRV...so we had it delivered a week later.

We did have a little wait (2 months) when ordering our glider from Behr's. The day after we placed the order, I googled the number for the wood color out of curiosity and noticed it was wrong. We called them ASAP and luckily they were able to change it in time, plus they gave us an apology

You can get a dresser that has a changing table on it. We have a pad that is attached to the top of the dresser. Try babies rus. I bought everything at Behrs because I feel in love with this one crib. But go to babies rus and they will tell you how long it will take to get everything in.

The set I picked out from BBB (Bonavita Peyton) just happened to be in-stock! We went a few months in advance to order it, but the salesman said it was one of their more popular sets/colors so they had it in stock. We paid for it that day and they held the furniture for us it the storage room until we were ready to pick it up.

We went to Behr's when I was 20 weeks and ordered the furniture then knowing it could take up to 12 wks for it to come in.

We ordered at the end of January from Behr's and was told 12 weeks. It is already in and will be delivered this afternoon! So, it only took 8 weeks.

We ordered over 2 months ago and were told 6-8 weeks, but it's still not in. Apparently, the Munire Essex collection is backed up. My DH called last week and they checked with the manufacturer who said it should be another 2-3 weeks. At this point I think DD will be here before the furniture is.

after reading all the horror stories with delivery delays, we ordered our furniture early to be safe! we ordered the babi italia pinehurst set from bru on 3/7 i think it was, and they said we would get a call for delivery in 3 wks. they called on 3/13 and wanted to deliver the next day! so it was only 5 days. we got really lucky. they delivered last friday morning without any problems.

My mom ordered our stuff from JC Penny 4 months before I was due.

Everything arrived in more than enough time.

We ordered from Behr's. And although some of their furniture is outrageously expensive I think the set we chose was on the reasonable side. (Crib was $550).

With that said, I ordered it when I was 19 weeks preggo with the intentions of it coming in 8-12 weeks. So I'd be 31 weeks at the latest.

So far it's been 6 weeks and I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm also not worried just yet.

bellini took about 6 weeks, they tell u 12 but if its in u can get it early...LOVE my furniture

i ordered mine today and requested to have it by 7/1. I am due 8/18.


and just a side note on the changing table, a lot of the shorter dressers have room on top to add the changing table pad so you can use it as a dresser/changing table. I decided against a seperate changing table bc I dont have the room for the extra furniture. So we got a tall 6 drawer dresser and a short 3 drawer dresser with the chaninging pad on top.

I ordered my furniture from Behr's on December 15 and was told 10-12 weeks.

March 15 was 12 weeks and my furniture is still not in (a couple of pieces are in, but not the crib).

I don't know if this is the fault of the manufacturer (Legacy) or the store, but I am not happy at this point and will continue to nag Behr's every few days!

Ordered the crib from Behr's on Friday and was told 6-8wks. I'm 29wks...so I figured we had some time if things were late. Plus the baby won't be going in the crib right away so if it's even later, we're OK (annoying, but fine).

We're painting/staining an old dresser to use as the dresser/changing table.
