Ebay Question: MIA Seller
What do you do if you bid on an item, win, issue payment and teh seller falls off the face of tehe arth? I have sent him several emails trhough Ebay just asking when I can expect shipment (they were personalized cocktail napkins) and have explained that they are needed for an affair. The order was placed 3 weeks ago and I am getting nervous the guy is going to flake on me.....Any thoughts on what to do? I still have time to get teh item but if he is not going to pull through, how do I get my $ back????

i just had this problem!!
go to ebay home page and go to "live help" they will ask for some info like your user name and than explain to them what happened and request a sellers phone number.
get and try to call this seller - if you cant contact them hurry up and call paypal and try to get some money back (if u paid through pay pal)

Thank you so much! I did pay thorugh paypal but via a cc so do you think I can dispute it if all else fails....
i am going to check out the live help on ebay now...

This happened to me before my wedding. I waited to long to contact e-bay and disputed it on my CC. I ended up being charged for it, because I waited to long The seller was even touching base with me, so I thought I would get my item
About a year later I got a letter from my credit card company from so attorney general about paypal's practices and ended up being credited on my credit card, after they took paypal to court

yes you can file a dispute through pay pal - and i would do it sooner than later. you only have 45 days from when the bid closed to file the claim and it takes about 30 days for the investigation to be complete. but if it gets you your money back - it will be worth the wait.
