Newspaper Question...
i like to buy the NY Post everyday for the puzzles
but can you tell me why - in suffolk county
the post is .50 cents
but if you buy it in queens
it's .25 cents
this has me perplexed!

YES - it's so annoying!
The post is only .25 cents in the city/boroughs. In the 'burbs, its 50 cents..(in Westchester for me, Long Island for you guys -)
That is why I buy the Daily News on my way to work, and don't buy the Post until I'm already in the city (I'm a cheap azz and don't want to spend that extra quarter!  )

It IS Stupid - and honestly, I have no clue why they charge the extra quarter for outside the city ..
The Daily News charges .50 either way ... so what the hell

The Post lowered their price to compete for circulation in the city. It's a ridiculously low price and they take a loss to compete with the Daily News, outside of the city, they dn't have that competition.
