 | Flying with Baby I am trying to book my flights to visit my sister Memorial Day weekeind in NC (Hi Sue) and was wondering what time was the best time to fly. Should I take the 7:50 pm flight which is right around Carlie's bed tim(8:15) and have to wake her up to get off the plane at 10:30 or should I flight at 9:50 am the next morning which is around her naptime?
Also, should I buy a seat and bring her car seat or just get one of those baby bjorn flying thing and hooker her on to me and rent a car seat from AAA?

 TIA

 | Re: Flying with Baby I would fly in the morning - it is easier on you . Just bring an extra bottle. I never bought a seat until Sammy was 2 years old - I just held him on my lap. I flew once at night and it was ok I just had Sammy on his PJ's for the flight . I ust prefer the morning | | Posted 3/14/06 12:47 PM |

 | Re: Flying with Baby I flew once when Bella was 4 months old. We brought the bjorn, but only used it in the airport and she just slept on our laps...going around a time they sleep I think is a good idea.
I was scared of being "that person" on a flight with a crying baby but it turned out so well that the people in front of us said they were shocked to know there was a baby on the flight right behind them...

but I also know that the next time she could be SUPER fussy...I guess you just have to roll with the punches...I wouldn't buy a ticket for Bella until she was at least a year...

 | Re: Flying with Baby morning! I have a girlfriend who flies to Ireland every 6 months and swears evening flights for the kids get them over tired, the only flights to Ireland are around 7pm and she dreads them | | Posted 3/14/06 5:37 PM |

 | Re: Flying with Baby I always try to fly in the morning around 9am or 10am. Nate takes his morning nap around then so I don't feel like I'm changing his schedule too much. | | Posted 3/14/06 8:08 PM |
