 | 1 month old tummy time What exactly are they supposed to be doing? As per my other post, my son hates tummy time. When he is on his tummy, he moves his head from one side to the other, but is he also supposed to be pushing himself up on his hands at this point, or is he still to young? Thanks! | | Posted 6/28/07 11:29 AM |

 | Re: 1 month old tummy time I think Mikayla did not push herself up with her hands until about 6 weeks or so.....just lay him there and let him do what comes natural (that MAY only be screaming at this point) | | Posted 6/28/07 11:36 AM |

 | Re: 1 month old tummy time Most of the time Bella just laid there and cry (she hated it). But we stuck to it and little by little she got used to it. By 6-7 weeks she started lifting her head and neck, not high, and move her head side to side. | | Posted 6/28/07 12:00 PM |

 | Re: 1 month old tummy time They're supposed to start lifting up their heads. Mind started out just lying there, now she lifts her head here and there, and licks the mat. Eventually, they're supposed to also use their arms to prop themselves up. | | Posted 6/28/07 12:36 PM |
