What was your favorite band to go see play in college?
at the bars...
there was one band i used to see when i visited my friend in ithaca, Sim Redmond Band. they had such an interesting sound
what bands did you like to go see play?

I loved Letters to Cleo- and then there was my friend's bad BB Galinini- who broke up when the drummer and guitarist went to play with Tracy Bonham. Lots of local Boston bands. I used to catch a few bands a week in those days.
ETA: Oh yeah, and Guster. Although the first time I ever saw them was on a street corner in Harvard Square.

Back in college, I saw a lot of ska bands. I used to love going to the mighty mighty bosstones...sometimes they played at small bars.

Rusted Root and Bare Naked Ladies (not too long ago was the day I'd pay five bucks to see them play at a seedy bar in RI).

I went to college in York...I would see Live hanging out in the local bars but they were too big by the time I was there to actually play in one.
I would see Fuel a lot when they were first starting out, often times for free

When did you go to York? I was there...what seems like 100 years ago!! from 83-87
94-98...but York sucked me in and I actually lived there till 2001...did you go to Murph's alot?

Black 47 was a big band that used to play at a place called The Terminal. The rest were local bands. There was also a band called the Blue Scoobies that used to place at the Inn in Long Beach that I used to go see a lot back in the day!

Ditto! I met my husband when I went out to see them. It was post college. During college I was in the Bronx, so we didn't see college bands, just the regular MSG concerts.

Me too. I saw them at CW Post and a few other LI clubs. I actually got up on stage and danced with the lead singer (I forget his name) at the Post show. WOW, that was a while ago.
