 | any good ideas for working on spelling words?? hi! i'm a speech teacher in an elementary school. i have a group of 3rd grade resource room students who i see for language therapy. their teacher asked me to help them with their spelling words for this week... any creative ideas??? i have the wipe off sentence strips, and i've been using those- putting barriers up between the kids, giving them a word to spell, they each write it on the sentence strip. whoever spells it correctly earns a "chip". BUT, i've done this a bunhc of times and ithink they're starting to get bored of it... any other ideas?? thanks!

They can unscramble the word (to help build phonemic awareness)

They can spell using letter tiles.

Do the words have a pattern? If so find a cute way to remember the pattern to help them remember.
