Need oil company sugg. fast
So DH (stands for dumba$$ husband this time) goes and cancels our contract with Petro without having another company yet. I guess when he has no hot water in his shower or heat he'll realize what a huge mistake that was!
So who do you use, and around how much do you pay per gallon?

We use Astro Fuel, just received a delivery and the price was $2.89 a gallon. They have great service men. Last week the heat stopped and someone was here within an hour at 2 am fixing the burner. We do not pay anything for the contract either.

We use TNP in Lindenhurst. They're a small company (husband and wife team). We been pleased so far. When we first moved in we had no hot water and they fixed the burner head (no tax paying cash). They don't do contracts or lock-in rates, though. We filled up on Dec 7 for $1.98 and they always have $5 off coupons in the pennysaver.

we use general utilities . they offer 5 cents off per gallon when you sign up for express pay. it is a service that automatically deducts payment from your bank account or charged to your visa or master card w/in 10 days of the delivery.
make sure you ask about the express pay service prior to signing a contract.

Romanelli from Lindenhurst. We know so many people who use them and they were highly recommended to us. Their customer service was superb.

we use Slomins also.
FYI we used to have State Utils in Lindenhurst and when we shopped around we found out Petro and State Utils have some 'gentleman's agreement' that they wouldn't take each other's customers..
But we weren't that fond of State anyway, personally, hence the switching. But we know people who have used them for years and loved them..
But we liked Slomins a lot. Sweezy fuel also had good prices I remember also (in patchogue i think)

We just signed up with Slomins mainly because we have an alarm with them. Im not crazy about them at all. From the beginning we have had nothing but problems. jmo
