 | Does anyone NOT use bumpers in the crib? Do I have to have them...do you recommend them? I have heard mixed reviews about their safety. | | Posted 8/30/05 10:14 AM |

 | Re: Does anyone NOT use bumpers in the crib? I haven't set my crib up yet. However, I really wanted to use it in the beginning, becaue I love how the whole setup looks, but I'm worried about the safety. I babysit for my niece who is 8 months old on Fridays and she rolls all over her crib while she sleeps, and everytime I go check on her shes like underneat it or her head is underneath it and it seems so not-safe to me. I always move her away from it but sometimes she wakes up. I think they'd be better off with either the breathable one from onestepahead.com or without it at all.Image Attachment(s):

 | Re: Does anyone NOT use bumpers in the crib? i have two children and i wasnt going to use it with either of them. but both my children when they would sleep in their crib would always get their legs or arms caught in between the crib rails and would wake up screaming. so i used them. but i know the sids alliance doesnt recommend them. | | Posted 8/30/05 11:55 AM |

 | Re: Does anyone NOT use bumpers in the crib? We use the breathable one from One Step ahead. It keeps her legs and arms in the crib, but it doesn't provide much padding when she knocks into the side. | | Posted 8/30/05 12:05 PM |

 | Re: Does anyone NOT use bumpers in the crib? I use them. I have now tucked them deep into the mattress so that she can't get underneath them because I found her once underneath it and it scared me but she is at the stage where she is rolling around her crib and I don't want her banging into the poles. | | Posted 8/30/05 12:49 PM |
