 | Re: Introducing a sippy cup No I don't think it's too early... I started giving it to Nate around the same time. For the first month or so he just played with it and chewed on the spout. He's 10 months old now and will drink from it, but still mostly bangs it on his highchair or throw it over the edge. He prefers to drink from a straw. |

 | Re: Introducing a sippy cup Not at all. I introduced a sippy to Jenna with a bit of water starting around 6 months. She didn't get the hang of it for quite a while but she'd play with it, bang it, chew the bottom, etc. |

 | Re: Introducing a sippy cup i always reserve the bottle for milk ONLY, the sippy cup is for water and juice. We started at 6 months too! My son loves it, but he loves drinking out of a water sports bottle instead, so he always drinks out of mine.get one with handles so he can maeuver it himself.

 | Re: Introducing a sippy cup we've done a sippy cup a few times now and she loves it but can't hold it herself. I hold it for her a few times and just let her play with it the other times.
however she LOVES to drink out of my water glass without a sippy cup.

 | Re: Introducing a sippy cup I see move them along off of a bottle, onto a sippy cup & then off a sippy cup as soon as you can.
I hate seeing older kids with sippy cups - or worse bottles & pacifiers.
