Funny Comment & Not so Funny Comment

So We all know that children say the funniest things sometimes. I just had to share this one because it made me chuckle (even the bad one).

One of my students said to me "I wish you were my mom" My response to her was "I am nobody's mother, I have no kids and your mom would miss you."

Then my quietest students says "She's got no kids, becuase she doesn't have a ring, You can't have kids without the ring." I wanted to laugh so hard.

Another student before this decided to throw a temper tantrum becuase they walked in and saw an art project we did yesterday while they were absent. This student wanted to do it becuase it wasnt fair and wanted to do it RIGHT now. I said no sorry its not Art time. They threw the tantrum kicking and screaming...now this is first thing in the morning (student has yet to unpack and does have behavior issues)

Have I told them no and said to unpack They go and say " I want you to die" " I wish you would die" "Go die" ..... they kept on and on for a few minutes and Then said " I hope you die early in life."

I sent them straight to my directors office for that, while its not funny that she said that I find it funny because she apologized after and hugs me and says "I never want you to die I love you."

Kids I tell ya....(really makes me wonder if I want my own, but first I need a ring )
