Funniest call that I just got
I put an ad in the paper at work for janitorial (cleaners). This guy just calls and asks me to SHOUT because he can't hear me. Ok, so I speak louder. Then I asked him if he could fax me a resume. He says "I have a resume but I don't put my professional experience on there".   Huh? OK, what DO you put on there then? I said, ok, well you can go onto our website and print an application and either fax it or mail it back to me. He says "I don't have $ for either of that stuff." I said, OK...you don't have 41cents for a stamp? Could you go to the library and maybe see if they can help you in some way? (I dont know!) Do you know someone with a fax machine, maybe?
He says, NO. Why are you making this so hard on me? What do I have to do to get to the top of the pile? I told him that is not the way it works, it is based on experience (cleaning is not as easy as it sounds, esp if it is specific to an industry such as pharma). He says ok, give me the fax # - So, I say "ok, it is 732-465-...." He says "WHERE is that? Never heard of it!" I said it is in NJ where our corporate HQ are. He was like "listen lady, you have to make this easy on me. I need a job." I said I have told you everythign you need to do....He said well I dont think this is gonna work out!
Who couldnt scrounge for 41 cents? I mean if you are really hard up, go to the library, print out an application, get an envelope (get one from the bank lobby or something) and mail it in! He sounded like a teenager.
