Fundraising
I recently signed up to volunteer at my local shelter and they put me on the fund raising commitee which has been a godsend for me b/c I'm not working in the shelter and therfore my heart doesnt break when I see those cuties. Yet, I feel as if I'm helping.
I was wondering if anyone can suggest any tips or fundraising ideas that I can suggest to the group? We are a 501(c)3 non profit.
We have Bingo night and a silent auction scheduled for the next 2 months.
Thanks

Re: Fundraising
What about a walkathon with your pet? Have everyone pay a small donation ($20) to walk.

Re: Fundraising
This website has a lot of different ideas. Fundraising
Some of the ideas are cheesy but it has a good amount of decent ones. I get a lot of ideas from that site. I am currently organizing a wine tasting event to benefit March of Dimes.

Re: Fundraising
I'm on the fundraising committee at work. We're having a chili's night. Basically you pick a night, chili's sends you a flyer and you e-mail it out to everyone you know and anyone else involved with the shelter. Chili's donates 10% of the sales to your shelter. If there's no chili's near the shelter, most chain restaurants do this. My company also does gift wrapping at barnes and noble around christmas time. Yankee Candle also has a fundraising program. They send you a catalog and 40% of the sales go to the shelter.
