Fun4All and trying not to judge, just wondering..

We all went there today and had fun, but I saw sooooooooo many kids running around or playing in the Moon Room all alone, with no supervision...they were either alone, or with a friend or sibling.

I recall Fun4All used to issue bracelets that all matched the family members or something like that, so when you left, they would check to make sure you were leaving with your kid(s) and not kidnapping or something.

This procedure doesn't appear in effect anymore.....as this is the second time in 2 weeks I have gone and left and no one said or checked anything.

At a certain age, do you leave the kids to play alone? I don't know if I am just a worrywart or too overprotective....I fear when they are even 10, I will be up there behinds following closely. Maybe I am the one with the issue?

What's your opinion or your own personal protocol when going to places like this?

Well, i don't know what the setup is there, but for most places like that, there is one way in or out. I usually park myself near the door, and keep an eye on my 10 year old and 4 year old from afar. As long as I can see them, I'm ok. I don't follow them around, because I know they're not going anywhere as long as they don't pass me to go out the exit.

So, I will play devil's advocate here and say maybe the parents knew where they were, and were watching them to make sure they didn't go anywhere else? like I said, I don't know what the layout is there.

I was only there once and I saw the same thing..a lot of little ones alone in there?Chat Icon I thought it was strange too. DD is 4.5 and I dont let her out of my site. Im always within a few feet of her. I would never leave her alone in there alone. Im kind of interested to see responses because I thought the same thing when I went there.

I haven't been to Fun4All in about a year and a half. When I used to work for daycare we brought the older campers there as well.
We ALL had bracelets and these kids were 7 and up. We all seperated and followed them like hawks. I can't imagine letting kids even younger be on their own.

I know Chuck E Cheese does the "stamps" and when I bring DD in, they put a sticker on her infant carrier (when she was in one).
When leaving, they "disabled" (I guess is the word, LOL) the stamps/sticker.
