I had my 37 week appt. today and the midwife was having a hard time telling for sure if the baby was still head down by feeling my belly so she did an internal exam. She sounded surprised when she did the internal because she said that the baby's head was right there. She said that the baby is fully engaged and +1 station or better. Chat Icon

I forgot to ask her if I was dilated at all and I'm not sure if they can tell effacement with a regular pelvic exam.

Does anybody know if the baby can be +1 station and not be dilated or effaced?
