FTWM - Stopping Pumping Question
Hi Ladies,
I was just wondering if any of you stopped pumping at work and was still able to breastfeed LO at night.
I hardly get anything when I pump, it takes about 5 days to get 4ozs with 3xs a day pumping. Its getting time consuming and I'd rather do other things than spend 30 mins and hardly get .5ozs
If you stopped pumping at work were you able to keep breastfeeding your LO when you got home from work?

Re: FTWM - Stopping Pumping Question
Yes. I did that for a month or so, but DD was almost 5 months old. Was able to BF when I got home & at night.
I couldn't realistically pump at work & then got exposed to too much stuff at work (that could make it's way into my breast milk)... so I stopped BFing.

Re: FTWM - Stopping Pumping Question
I stopped pumping at 7.5 months and nurse only once in the morning and once at night. It lasted for 2 months and eventually my supply dropped to nothing and DS lost interest and gave up. lol

I cut down my pumping sessions gradually, from 3 to 2 to 1 session per day over the course of like 2 months and at 12 months I totally stopped.

at 9 months I stopped pumping at work - at 8 months I cut down to only pumping once a day - and I nursed morning and night for a month and then 11 months I went down to just night and did that till 12 months- then I stopped but I had no problem with giving him enough
