Frye vent and question
I ordered a pair of Veronica Slouch in the dark brown vintage color from zappos. I had been eying these for months so when I got them I was psyched. I'm in love. Put them on and went out right away. While I'm out I look down and see that they have different finish in the the leather. One looks smooth and the other one is more textured. I called Zappos and they took them back no problem Now i ordered another pair from buy.com and the same thing! Did any one else have this problem? I loved them but the difference bothers me.

I have not had this problem with Frye boots . You could go into Soho and buy the boots at the Frye store to make sure you get a pair with the same texture. The fact that each boot has a different texture would bother me too. The boots are $$-I would call Frye and see if this is normal.

Re: Frye vent and question
I have those exact boots and they are the same texture in that both boots look identical. However, the top of the foot of the boot is definitely more smooth than the calf. The calf part is a bit textured looking.
Is this what you mean perhaps?

Re: Frye vent and question
I get that the top of the foot is smooth but the calf portion on the left and the right arent the same. One is smoother than the other.
