fruits and veggies as finger foods

and not the normal kind

for lunch today, DS had a pickle, black olives, roast beef and french fries

he is a GREAT eater and pretty much loves anything i'll give him.

i know that there are some foods i should avoid (tomatoes, citrus, eggs) but are there things i normally wouldn't think to avoid that i should?

DS doesn't see the ped until may 6th and i didn't really think this was something i should be calling them about...

any help is appreciated!

-avoid honey until 1 year
-my ped had us wait until 1 year for strawberries, but I know not everyone does this
-peanut butter

I know some peds avoid strawberries. Ryan has already had it in some baby food without a reaction so I haven't steered clear of it.

I think mushrooms can be a gross allergy, but I have never heard of actually avoiding it until a certain period of time.

Ummmmm....other than honey, nuts, eggs, I can't really think of anything. I read somewhere to avoid chocolate but I know many mom's who have ignored that one as well.

ooohhh. guilty but i didn't know to avoid it, i will definitely ask the ped before we go to hershey!

I think everyone gave good advice already.....nuts, peanutbutter, honey & chocolate are sure things.

Logan has had strawberries already....like Ryan he had in babyfood, so now I give him pieces of it.

MY ped has us waiting on eggs till a year......
