I could not either. I held my Hans up until the vet came in with the shot. Then I kissed his head and told him to go to sleep and I will see him at the bridge.

This sooo made me tear up.
I had to put my dog to sleep in December, my DH did not want to be present, I told him he would forever regret that decision. That copper was there for us through everything, I got him to come, and as painful and horrible as it was, I would not change it, neither would he.
I was at the vet with my other dog a couple of months ago. Just being there remembering that day made me cry all over again, I think the vet thought I was nuts....
But these animals deserve so uch more than whatmost people give them. all they need is YOU and your LOVE!
