From infant seat to stroller
How old was your LO when you started putting them into the stroller itself and not in the infant seat attached to the stroller?
DD will be 5 months next week and has good head control and loves looking out to see everything! So not sure when a good time is to transition into the stroller.

Re: From infant seat to stroller
We stopped using the infant seat at about 6 months because she almost exceeded the weight limit and she was way too heavy to carry around in it.

Re: From infant seat to stroller
Depends on your stroller. I have the Uppababy and you can use it at 3 months I believe, but we also have a Bumbleride Indie Twin and we can't use the seat until 6 months. Just look at the manual.

Re: From infant seat to stroller
we started at 4 months with my son but he was a beast, about 17 lbs.
just tried last weekend with DD who will be 5 months on Friday and she was too little for the citi mini. Keeping her in the snap and go for a while. She just slid around all over and I was afraid she would slip out of the harness
we also have the uppa baby vista toddler seat but its the same story. Not meant for a 14lb baby.

From infant seat to stroller
We also have the city mini and last weekend was the first time we were able to put our 8 month old in it. We tried before but even at their tightest the straps were still too big for her. She is now 19 lbs.

Re: From infant seat to stroller
For walks around 5 mo. For going out shopping, a few weeks ago. (about 7 mo). I'd probably use the infant seat more but need to move the bars on the Snap n Go because the baby in the back gets her feetsies smooshed.

From infant seat to stroller
I stopped using the infant carrier at 4 months. we switched to the convertible car seat at that time so we started using the stroller alone at that point.

Re: From infant seat to stroller
Around 3.5 months. He had amazing head support, plus he was a big boy at 17lbs around the time we started using our citi mini.

Re: From infant seat to stroller
We have the Uppa Baby Vista, and started using the toddler seat at just over 3 months (she was probably around 13 - 13.5 lbs).
She had great head control, but also the seat reclined, so we could lean her back.

Re: From infant seat to stroller
I use both the snap and go and the City Mini. We started using the City Mini around 4 months old for a few reasons....DS likes to look out and see what's going on now that he's more alert. And, the car seat is just so darn hot that I couldn't make him stay in there when we go on long walks outside.

Re: From infant seat to stroller
I have the b-agile. Dd is 6 mos and 14lbs. I will put her in the stroller part on occasion in the store just so she can stretch out a little. She needs one of those snuzzler support thingies though because she will fall over to one side! On walks outside (rough sidewalk), I still use the carrier part.

Re: From infant seat to stroller
I put DS in the regular part of his stroller (Graco Metrolite) at one month.. It reclined all the way down so he was able to use it from birth....

From infant seat to stroller
DS went into his regular part of his stroller (Graco Urban Lite) around 4m when he was able to hold his head up on his own really well. Plus he hated being in the carrier for walks.
