I switched my DD at 2. she was a very good baby though and I skipped the toddler bed and went to twin.

My doctor says keep her in until she climbs out or gets married which ever comes first.  However, DH thinks that is dumb because she can hurt herself if she climbs out. I don't know, I am in no rush.

our toddler bed just came a couple days ago....we are either waiting til right after new years, or else after gregs vacation in february bc we will be going upstate to see my 'rents and she will be sleeping in a crib up there...she will be between 19 and 20 months....and we are doing it then in order to get her out of the crib so she doesnt feel like we are kicking her out of the crib when the baby comes...(even though the baby will be sleeping with us until shes about 4 months....)

Ive heard not to take them out till they climb out but DH doesn tlike this idea, hes afraid she will get hurt...She definately isnt ready for a toddler bed yet though. (shes 18 mths)

DD was 2 in September and is still in her crib; in fact, I bought her a new one when DD#2 was born. I don't plan to switch her until closer to 3.

i put the twins in toddler beds at 18 months.. one of the boys was trying to climb..
