How big is your tank? It really depends on the size of the tank and what you have your heat set for.

I have Gas now, but when I had Oil I went through about 4 deliveries the entire season.

Re: Frequency of filling up oil tank?

I have a 275 tank. I filled up 9/20/09 and now am 3/8 full (a little under 1/2 tank). It goes quick!

But we bought the house 4/10/09 with a little under 3/4 tank and it took until 9/20/09 to have to fill it (we were practically on Empty). The spring/summer it's barely touched

if you havent had your oil burner cleaned yet, have someone come in and do it. they can also give you an efficiency rating. the lower the rating the more oil you will use even if you dont use the heat as much.

We have a 250 or 275 tank and in the winter months, Slomins comes almost once a month. In the Spring/Summer it's about 3-4 months between fill-ups.

We have a 200 gallon tank and we just got a new oil burner this summer. Our first fill up was in October and our next one just came yesterday - and it was only for 87 gallons. We hadn't even burned through half a tank in 2 months.

Ditto, but we're with Petro.

We had our boiler cleaned under our service contract also. But our house is a small one story ranch with only two zones.
