freezing cookie dough
has anyone ever prepared cookie dough, froze it (raw), thawed it out and baked another day? just curious whether they tasted the same as when baked immediately after mixing it.

Re: freezing cookie dough
I make cookie dough and use a scoop to shape it in balls. I freeze it and then when I want some I just put the frozen cookie balls in the toaster oven. i cook an extra couple minutes but they taste the same as when they are made fresh.

Re: freezing cookie dough
I always freeze batter around the holidays. I put it in freezer bags and it comes out the same. I usually freeze it a few weeks, have never done it more than that. Always takes exactly like when I make them fresh.

great news!!do you let it thaw or do you do the scoops too?
and ladies who scoop, do you always put in oven while it's still frozen, or do you defrost?
