Freezing BM tip!
Hi Ladies -
Hope you are all feeling good!
Just wanted to share this little tip...someone may have said it when I was pg with my dd, and I probably didn't pay attention, and now am kicking myself :)
I'm starting to wean dd from bf'ing, so I am only feeding her twice a day, and stopped pumping. She gets two 6 ounces bottles a day, besides when I feed her. Me, thinking I was being smart, froze all of my bm in 5 oz bags. So, to get the two bottles I need a day, I'm stuck defrosting 3 bags, and using some of the extra 3 ounces for cereal, etc, but having to throw out some, which is killing me! (After you defrost bm, you are supposed to use it within 24 hours...) So, the moral of my story is, freeze some of your bm in smaller quantities, so that you don't lose any!
