Free-standing hammocks?
Who usually has a good price on those?
any issues with them not be attached to a tree?

We have one. Got the stand at Walmart (they were cheapest at 100 bucks) then got the actual hammock at Harrows at their clearance sale before they went out of business (60-80 bucks, i forget.)
No problems, we pull it around the yard to move in/out of sunlight as needed.

We got ours from Walmart.com (hammock and stand came together.) Love it! Can't wait till summer to bring it back out again.
