Free piano ..

i also posted this on parenting ...but someone suggested i try here...

now that we have DD..we have a lot more stuff to fit in our small living room..so we have been getting rid of some furniture and trying to replace it with smaller furniture or things that can double as storage ..etc. The one thing i struggled with is my piano. i would have loved to save it in case DD wanted to take piano some day.. but honestly i can't afford the upkeep..and it takes up too much space.

I was hoping to donate it.. but i'm having a hard time finding a place.. esp. one that will move it. (we don't have the extra money to have it moved.. .) I don't wanna just put it outside and hope some random stranger takes it..and i don't know if i like the idea of posting on craigs list. ( i've done it before..but never with something that required people coming to my house..DH isn't thrilled with that idea. ) but it has to go..and soon!
Does anyone know a place that will take donations?? or anyone in need of a piano??? It's yours if you can have it moved... TIA

Maybe Try calling local Schools? Or even Music Schools? Churches?

OR even Music Teachers... They might know a student who needs one?

Where are you located? I'm a music teacher and would LOVE a piano in my house. I'm curious how much it would cost to move, though. Hmm...something to think about!
