Freddy update
Fred is at Jamaica. I took the E train over there during lunch. Spent 3 hrs there talking to him and some of his docs and nurses.
Good news is that he probably won't need dialysis going forward. He is bored, frustrated and as he is getting better he is getting depressed.
He will be there at least another 2 weeks. Then he may go to another facility-maybe North Shore or St. Johnsland or someplace else that i can't remember.
Tuesday I have a meeting with social security to get his application in for disability insurance. That should be fun...not!
Medically, his bed sore is still bad and his leg hurts. His whole body hurts from PT since he's been bed bound for so long.
They are working on his cognitive stuff and his memory. He is not in the present. He thinks it's 1992 and he's 30. Sometimes he thinks it's 1907. Now that's good television!
It's funny and sad all at the same time.
Keep the prayers going for his continued progress. They are doing everything they can for him.
I spoke with his cardiologist from St. Francis today and he is very impressed as to Fred's progress. So am I.

Well it's good to hear is Dr.'s are impressed with Fred's progress.
