Freddy Update
New for today:
Well you all know how Fred is a fighter. Well he decided he didn't like the trach tube..se he dislodged it. Yep, that's right..
So, they were going to do cpap trials on him anyway today so they decided to just take it out. HE'S OFF THE VENTILATOR!!!! He has oxygen on him now, but if all goes well they won't have to put it back in. He was coughing and stuff and really couldn't talk yet, but it's got to be so much more comfortable. He even had dialysis today and he should have been very tired and he was trying to get off the bed.
He's not quite all there yet and I'm sure the lack of oxygen to his brain has caused some problems, but most of them can be rehabbed I hope.
He was frustrated today and didn't really respond to commands, but was aware, awake and feisty!!
Fred is fighting..I am thrilled! Mom and dad are excited but we are worried that his brain is not all there. Hopefully soon.
His kidneys are still down, but hopefully that will come back. Liver still bad, again hopefully it will come back.
Another step..another step towards him getting better.
