Freaking out a bit...1st IVF Cycle (ER yesterday)
Sorry, I'm a bit in panic mode, and even though I've spoken with my RE nurse, I'm still not clear as to what's going on.
ER was yesterday, they were able to retrieve 13, and today they confirmed that 11 fertilized, without the use of ICSI (yeah!)
However, they told me that I'm on-call for transfer either Wednesday or Friday. I have to go in on Wednesday morning at 10am to see the RE on-call for bloodwork and ultrasound for evaluation b/c my estrogen levels are a bit high.
When I asked the nurse what it meant, she just repeated herself, and said it'll all depend on the bloodwork on Wednesday. However, that I still may have my transfer on Wednesday (or Friday).
When I asked if there's a chance my transfer would be canceled all together - she said there is a chance.
Any experience/advice? I'm so confused.

There's always a chance of everything. Try to relax and keep your mind off of it. I had two ivf cycles and was successful on the second one. My dd is already one month old. On the 2nd cycle I went into the city on day 5 for my transfer and my dr called saying he wanted to push it to day 6. They know what they are doing. Just have faith and what will be will be. Good news is you had a great fertilization and that's without icsi

I agree. Have faith. If your hormones are not in the right spot... it wouldn't be ok to put the embryos back so they wantr to make sure.

First off take a deep breath. This process is such a roller coaster of emotions and information you can easily lose your ish. High estrogen can lead to hyperstim and that's probably what they are afraid of. Hyperstim and pregnancy can make you miserable and land you in the hospital. I had borderline high E2 with both my fresh cycles but luckily by transfer it had gone down. I ended up pregnant cycles.
Wednesday would make you a 3 day transfer and Friday a five day transfer. With the embies you have I bet they push you for Friday. Try to relax and get lots of rest and fluids. Good luck

they are probably just making sure to monitor you for overstimulation. i literally was getting my blood drawn every day following my retrieval because my estrogen levels were going up so much. it all ended up being fine and I was able to to go through with my 5dt. try to rest up, i was sore for 2 days following ER.

Thanks so much ladies, I really appreciate all your feedback and support.
I think I was just so blind-sighted by the Nurse stating how high my E2 levels were (which she never gave me the actual numbers) and I thought that I would've known sooner.
I'm resting (canceled my whole week of work appointments) and sitting w/my feet up as much as possible and drinking loads of gatorade and tea!
