Freaking out....
I am 10 weeks pregnant with twins from Ivf. Since beginning baby b's sac and placenta is half the size of baby a. Dr. Kofinas advised that at some point baby b will start to fall behind (now babies only day apart) and eventually stop growing. The only hope if that when that happens I am 30 weeks plus so they both have a very good chance. I am a ball of nerves. On top of that I have about 5 other things that make me very high risk- polyp in my cervix , clotting disorder and incompetent cervix. 3 years of trying fo number two(and now 3) and I feel like I cannot enjoy a second of it!!

Try to relax-stress is not good for your or your babies. The only control you have is how you react to your medical issues. Try to stay on top of things with your doctor- if you have an incompetent cervix make sure your OB is monitoring it closely with ultrasound and physical exams- discuss what can be done to prevent cervical shortening- Are you a candidate for a cercalage? Do you need to limit activity? There are things that you have control over. I have found that guided meditation and prenatal yoga have helped me manage my anxiety.

yes as PP said stressing isn't helping. try to guide the nervous energy into action energy - what else can u do, what Dr shld be concentrating on, what ppl in similar situations do and what is prescribed to them. sending u good vibes just in case

Re: Freaking out....
Crashing…but I thought I can offer some advice. I have 2.5 year old triplets from an IUI. From around 10 weeks Baby C (my girl) started falling behind and growing slower then her two brothers. Her bothers were always neck and neck. I was a nervous reck, but people kept on reminding me that all babies grow at different rates, and even though they are triplets, I have 3 separate babies inside of me. My daughter stopped growing between 24-26 weeks. I ended up having a C-section at 30 weeks exactly. My boys were 3lbs and 3 lbs 1oz (perfect size for a 30 weeker). My daughter was 1 lb 14 oz. The size of a 25 weeker. Let me tell you she did the best out of the 3 in the NICU. She would have been home first if it wasn't for her having to be 4.5 lbs to be released. Now at 2.5 she is still tiny as anything (only 19lb 12oz) but boy is she mighty. No delays what so ever, fisty as anything and really just my tiny little fire cracker. I know its so stressful and I remember when I was going through it just stressing about EVERY SINGLE ounce gained. Try and relax and enjoy as much as you can. Sometimes I feel like the doctors put too much emphasis on weight and size, when its really not all about that. Good luck with everything! Multiples are awesome!
