Freaking out!!!
I called the doctor office for results of genetic testing and they said The DR didnt review the results yet so she will call me back later.. Does that mean something is wrong? Usually wouldnt the nurse say if it came back normal or not? Now Im totally freaking out.. Should I calm down?

In my center, nurses aren't allowed to give any result. So I wouldn't worry about anything right now.

dont freak out yet...at my office the nurse isnt allowed to give results only the doctors can which is a pain in the ass because by the time the doctor gets back to you, you are already going out of your mind...i know its easier said than done but try and relax

No matter what, the dr has to review the results before they can be told to the patient. Nurses and technicians cannot be liable for that stuff, but drs can be.

no matter what, at my OB's office, the Dr. has to review the file in order allow a nurse practitioner call me with the results.
Try not to worry and call back in a few hours if you haven't heard back by then

Drs ALWAYS have to look at results. If they don't call you tomorrow, call back and demand that a dr look at them right away and let you know. I hound the secretaries until I get answers!

Was there a reason you called for the results? Usually they just give them at the appointment 4 weeks later.
I agree with the others -- the nurse can't give the results over the phone unless the dr. has signed off on them. It's not you -- it's them. Don't worry.

I prob should have waited but I get so anxious and I took the blood work last friday and they said it takes a week to come in and they usually call with results either way.. I guess because I constantly worry I wanted to know if they had them and the fact that the nurse told me they did and the doctor didnt see them yet freaked me out.. So I think I just made myself more sick by doin that.. Hopefully all is well and positive thinking from now on.. still waiting for the call back:) wish me luck!
