Frank breech....disappointed.

Had the growth sono today.

DS is fine, but he's frank breech. (feet up by his head) I have until next week for him to turn, which is unlikely given his size (7 lbs) and the frank position.

Then I need to decide whether or not to attempt to turn him.

So it looks like the chances are I will have to have a section. I wasn't expecting this at all. I had such a good delivery with DD, I just assumed it would be the same if not similar for DS.

I know it's no the end of the world. I just envisioned it to be different.

As a funny side note, my DD was frank breech - and after she was born, it took about a full 12 hours for her legs to come down. In all her early pics - her legs are in the air..lol

I am sorry mama, I know how you feel

Our baby has been breech for weeks now and I have felt his head in my ribs - he has not budged. He is also frank breech

I decided that he seemed very comfortable there and he too was estimated to be 7 lbs and I was 37 weeks so I scheduled the C.

I don't know if this helps any but my midwife told me they usually have better luck turning a baby if you have had one before.

my is a footling breech and we were going to try to turn him but the cord is around his neck so it's not an option anymore.
I'm having a CS next week.

I found out a few weeks ago DD is breech and disappointment doesn't begin to describe how I feel. I've tried everything: acupuncture, chiropractor, moxibustion, music, frozen peas, you name it and she hasn't budged.

My ob didn't think I was going to be a good candidate for version but the perinatologist said he would be willing to try.

So I am having them try to turn her on Friday. I'll let you know how it goes...

I pretty much decided that if he doesn't turn I'll just go for the c section. I don't want to take any chances with the version. Especially since my chances aren't very good.

My midwives have gotten babies to turn from the breach position after the mom was in labor with some of these exercises...

Ugh - I am going through this as well and my baby is frank breech. My doctor told me that this is the most common type of breech. I am going in June 14th for my csection. I too was disappointed about not being able to push her out...but now that it is getting closer, I am just getting excited to see her! Good luck. I tried lots of exercises too. Nothing helped. I opted not to do the version. I didn't want to put any stress on the baby.

Geez what's with all the breech babies?? I thought it was only 3-4% of prengnacies. I guess we are all special

DS was Frank Breech too. I didn't attempt to turn and I had a csection. (But I wanted oen anyway ) so I wasn't sad....lol But I can understand how you feel.
