Re: FP aquarium question
We have it on my sons wrought iron bed, he still loves it and he will be 3 in January. We don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.

eta: meant to say shes not too old..

Re: FP aquarium question
We actually hers out of her crib about 2 months ago (she is just about 9 months) because she was moving around so much in her crib and kept hitting her head on it. I think she would love it if it was in there, but she would smack her head on in and then cry, so we figured it was best to take it out.

Re: FP aquarium question
Athan still has his but since we dropped his mattress to the lowest level now, he climbs up all the time and grabs on to it and starts chewing the corners and playing with the button while standing.
BTW - does anyone know if you can add more water to it???? Or does that mean I should just buy a new one? It seems like the water level is getting significantly lower after 7 months!

Re: FP aquarium question
This is going to sound dumb, but which side of the crib did you attach the aquarium to? (Like the long sides or the short sides)
Also, do you play it for DC when they go to sleep? OR is it just for when they are ready to interact w/ it?

depends on the crib. My sis put my nephews on the long side. i have dds on short side. The railing on long side is too wide for so it wouldnt attach.
My dd plays with it when i put her in crib if shes not ready to officially fall asleep and when she wakes up. we have mattress on lowest level pretty much from the start so she didnt start playing with it until she was able to reach it. Im thinking about 7months she really became aware of it.

Re: FP aquarium question
My boys LOVE their aquarium. They are 2, and if they wake up in the middle of the night, they will turn it on and soothe themselves back to sleep.

Re: FP aquarium question
We moved it when he was almost 8 months and started trying to stand on it. He fell in his crib a couple times, and we were concerned he would fall out of the crib another time, so it went.
It was a sad day--he loved it. I haven't figured out what to do with it, but I take it out for him to look and listen to sometimes.
