Found these two outfits for xmas that would coordinate-what do we think?
I should mention I'm not the biggest fan of red red but it was slim pickings on what was available in sizes this year that would coordinate. It's also on the pricey side but again can't really coordinate the two of them on the cheap. my bargain days may be over now that I have to plan for 2 
for him

I know the jumper is short sleeves and shorts but the house that we go to is about a 100 degrees so I did this on purpose

Adorable, love the shorts outfit and the dress is adorable. Yes, I think they coordinate. You could also do a plaid or dress with a little print to coordinate with his solid red-- just an idea!

That's my other option. I have a red plaid dress that I found for DD so I could just order the jumper for him but it is hard to resist buying her the matching outfit since it's available, kwim?

I hear you...I'm a dress-buying addict   I do love the red dress, but I also like the idea of breaking up their outfits (while still coordinating) with a solid on DS and a print on DD. You can't go wrong either way though!

It's cute but not my first choice. I think it is odd to have a shortall in velvet and if the house really gets that hot I think the kids are going to be even hotter in velvet even though it is short sleeve.
Potterybarnkids usually comes out with some beautiful knit things and they always have red. I would wait a few more weeks (I know you are due in early Nov. and you want to get this done).
