Found dead bird in pool...
At my mom's house, we found a dead bird in the pool. The bird doesn't look like it was attacked by anything. Do we have to have the bird checked for West Nile or is that not an issue anymore? And if we do have to have it checked, who do we call?

I don't know what to do about the bird but make sure you shock the h*ll out of your pool to kill any germs!

No clue, but on a related note, I almost stepped on a dead bird in our backyard earlier in my BARE FEET!
I am freaked out by birds in general-----I keep tip-toeing around my house like the thing's following me!

Suffolk County is already spraying for mousquitos to control West Nile this year (as there's already been a confirmed case, I think...) I don't know for sure that testing isn't necessary, but I wouldn't imagine it's not.
