went there today I guess to say goodbye.
We bought some footed drinking glasses (mikasa) and some wines.
Very sad there. It's such a shame.
Also we looked at wedding bands for DH since he lost his (again) and they had all size 10s. He's a 9 so we couldn't get one. $1200 platinum bands were $300.

Re: Fortunoff
I heard some guys just the other day on the LIRR talking that they are still supplying the liquidators with brand new jewelry.

When are they closing for good? end of the month is the last day
I was there yestreday - so so sad! I walked in on the 2nd floor from the mall and after seeing that, I didn't want to go down to the 1st floor. I want to remember the jewelry and beautiful china/crystal depts as they were.
Susan, $300 for a Platinum band is a steal! you could have it sized for $25-$50. totally worth it IMO.

Re: Fortunoff
How empty is the store? So sad is right. I worked there for 1 year about 12 years ago as a cashier.....I cant believe they will be gone soon.

Scott I only saw the 2nd and 3rd floors yesterday. there is literally nothing left on the 2nd. the 3rd floor has some rugs, a few random pieces of furniture, lamps and paintings. but don't expect a selection.

Re: Fortunoff
We needed a new mattress and my mom suggested we go there. It was about 2 weeks ago and we ended up buying a floor model and got an awesome deal. The mattress is great!!
I can't believe they are going out, but now I get to fall asleep each night on this great deal!
