formula question..
which formula was your newborn on right after the hospital?
DD had some issues so she was put on Alimentum.
If this one has none, which formula would he be on?

Re: formula question..
They gave us enfamil at the hospital and gave us a ton of the little nursettes to take home
Once we finished those, we put her on BJ's formula- powdered

Re: formula question..
The hospital I delivered at gave you Similac Advance (the blue label).
When we finished Similac Advance, I had a sample of Similac Sensitive and he seemed to spit up less, so I just stuck with that.

formula question..
I breast fed but when I needed to supplement I used Gerber formula. But then ended up after a long and tedious and painful road changed to alimentum. If I have a 2nd I would immediately put him/her on alimentum the second I see an issue. I wouldn't mess around with trying sensitive and 100 other formulas. That is my personal opinion because of my experience with my dd.

They gave us enfamil. Once we ran out of the nursettes, we switched the up & up version (powedered).

formula question..
We did Enfamil nursettes and then switched to powered version a few weeks later. DS had reflux so we wound up on Enfamil AR. My pediatrician prefered Enfamil to Similac -- she said there was sugar in Similac. I am sure it doesnt make a difference.

Re: formula question..
I had asked my peds before dd was born. They recommend gerber, so I uses up the similac samples the hospital gave, then switched to gerber (unfortunately, dd had a milk allergy so after 3 other formulas she went on prescription formula...)

formula question..
Hospital (LIJ Katz) gives Similac. After I ran out of all the samples, we switched to Similac sensitive. After 2-3 weeks of that, we ultimately switched DD to the BJ's brand sensitive formula and I think she did even better on that than the Similac. You honestly can't beat the price. DD is only 5 months and I've easily saved hundreds of dollars.

Similac. Both my other kids used it... So I'm comfortable with it.

formula question..
They used similac at NSUH. I was EBF but now am about 75% BF and I use similac advance powder or RTF bottles. He has been good on it so I never changed.

formula question..
Me.. Im the class fool LOL its FORMULA. I used both interchangably. Similac and enfamil. Whatever was closest. I had to give up BF after two weeks so who cares? She ate them both well enough. Then when I ran out, I ended up with more savings on Enfamil and stuck with that. Until I wised up and bought generic, in bulk, off ebay stores. LOL
She was put on Gentlease but back on Lipil by 6m or so.

Re: formula question..
They gave similac advance in the hospital. But my dd ended up on alimentum anyway ( my first was on it too) . I did try sensitive first after the advance was giving her gas issues but the sensitive constipated her so we went to alimentum which has been working great.

Re: formula question..
He was given Similac in the blue bottle at the hospital. At home we kept it the same. At around the two month mark he was very gassy and not himself. So, the ped suggested switching to Similac Orange for Sensitive/Fussy/Gas. We did and it was wonderful! He was on that from then on. We did the RTF because I tried the powder since it is cheaper but my son could NOT tolerate the powder at all. So, I spent the money on the RTF and used coupons lol.
