formula moms
when did you switch from ready to feed to powder? Can you go right from one to the other? Powder is the same, right?

Yep, you can go from one to the other. Just follow the instructions on the can. I love the powder much better. No heating it up or waste (well much less!)

my kids all had reflux so they never tolerated the powder. it's not as thick as the ready to feed.

Yes
We went from RTF to power and then back again because it's easier for us to do the bottles at night for daycare w/o having to wait for the water to boil, let it cool, etc etc.

you can switch....just give a few days for the digestive system to adjust...there is a consistency difference. RTF is much thicker.
I will add that I gave DD RTF after months of using powder just because I had to use up the cans I had on the shelf......it was the WORST. She was in so much pain from the gas. BUT, for an emergency substitute (while travelling we bought RTF) it was fine.

I've used them interchangeably to supplement BF. I *think* Ella spits up more on RTF, but thats only a theory...
