For those with newborns....(highly recommend)
I had posted about the "Dunstan Baby Language" a LONG time ago on the pregnancy board when the woman who developed it was on Oprah.
Well... can I just say that after watching the 1st DVD, DH and I have been about to decifer Bella's cries and we can actually figure out what's bothering her!!
I wouldn't have believed it until I tried it and when I 1st put in the DVD, DH was laughing and rolling his eyes. Well... he is now the biggest advocate! He tells EVERYONE about it!
If you're having trouble with a fussy one, I really do recommend checking the DVD's out They've really helped us.
DUNSTAN BABY LANGUAGE
Here's the basics:
When baby FIRST starts to cry... listen for the sounds s/he's making. 1. If you can hear an "EH" sound as a dominant sound it means they're gassy. Try burping or rocking to get the bubbles out.
2. If you're hearing a dominant "NEH" sound (listen for the 'N") means they're hungry.
3. If they're making an "OWE" sound and you notice that their mouth is in an oval shape while crying, means they're tired.
Seriously, you can hear the sounds! And when you pick up on them and tend to the right need... well, try it, you'll see

Hey, we're all sleep deprived. We can't be expected to pick up on the little things.
