What did you do with DC1 when you were in the hospital havng DC2?

My parents are going to come down and watch the boys. My parents and Dh will roate who's at the hospital and who is home w/ the kids. Hopefully the boys will be able to come visit me in the hospital!

My mom will take her while i'm in labor, and keep her as long as we need her to. The plan is she'll visit in the hospital while i'm in early labor and after the baby is born. My DH may decide to get her at night and bring her home so he can see her and she can be at home, but we'll play it by ear. I'm torn because I want him with us, but I also think one of us should get some good sleep and he has sleep apnea so he would need to bring his CPAP to the hospital.

My parents took DS when i went to the hospital. They brought him the next day around dinner time and he went home with DH. The next day DH dropped him off at my parents again.

DD#2 decided to make a very quick arrival, so DD#1 came with us, and stayed in the waiting room with a very sweet nurse until my MIL arrived.... thankfully my labor and delivery was only 37 minutes....

that first night my parents took DD#1 and brought her back mid afternoon the following day. She was at the hospital from 3-8 which was longer than I originally wanted but worked out really well.

The 2nd night DD#1 stayed @ home with DH.

MIL came over first thing the next morning to stay with DD#1 - while DH brought DD#2 and me home.....

I went into labor early on a Saturday morning with #2 -- we called DH's folks who live nearby and they stayed with DS while we were at the hospital.

We called my OOT parents to also come to the hospital. Younger DC was born by 9am, ILs brought older DC to the hospital around dinnertime.

My DH went home with them and took DC back to our house for a regular night at home, my mom stayed in the hospital with me, and we all were home together by noon on Sunday.

My son was 27 months when my second son was born.

My mother took him to school while I had my csection, came home and napped him. When he woke up they brought him to the hospital (at that point I had the baby and we were in my own room)

She stayed with him during the days until my husband got home from the hospital and brought him up every afternoon when he woke up from his nap for an hour.

Not a BTDT yet but DD is due within 7 weeks and I am sickened over this. I have never left DS overnight and would rather birth DD in my living room than leave him (DH says that isn't an option)

My mom was there was DS was born and I need/want her there for DD's birth so I have my sister, brother and his wife and dad (last resort) on call. In an ideal world I go into labor and have DD in the middle of the night while DS is sleeping and DH and my mom can be home before he wakes up. Let's see if I am so lucky!

My in-laws will not be left with DS. If that were the only option I would choose to birth in the living room.

DS #1 will keep his daycare routine. DH will drop him off in the morning and pick him up at 4pm and he'lll then drop him off to my parents, MIL or bring him with him to the hospital. I'm sure my parents will take him overnight one night and MIL lives with us so she'll help DH get DS#1 to bed. Thankfully we have a great support system in our parents.

When I have DD #2, the plan is to call my parents when I go into labor so that they can stay with DD #1 at our house.

We havent decided whether DH will stay with me at the hospital at night. Right now, I'm thinking i'll tell him to go home so he can get some sleep and be there for DD #1. The hospital is 5 minutes from our house.

My MIL drove to our house and stayed with my DD at our house until we gave word to come to the hospital to meet her brother..then she took her home with her and stayed at her house while I was in the hospital...

This is how I feel too! lol I'm making myself sick over it... and I still have like 12 weeks to go.

Grandpa and Grandma watched DS#2, then while I was in the hospital, DH and my parents took turns with him.

My ds will be just about 27 months when #2 is due. My plan is to have my aunt come pick him up from my house or she will come stay with him at our house if it's late at night.
