For those who installed or have CAC....

Has anyone ever used/use Keyspan, now known as National Grid?

We got a booklet from them today in the mail giving us information on CAC installation, but wasn't sure what people's experiences have been with them.

Slomin's also called me, but we haven't been able to connect to set up an appt to have them see the house to give us an estimate.

Our neighbor used Heat USA last year and paid approx $12K for installation/services.

Any other recommendations or reviews on any of these companies???

I met with Slomins but I didn't like the way they were going to install it in my particular house.

All I can say is definitely get at least a few different quotes. Not just for a price comparison, but different companies may give you different ideas as to where to locate the air handler, where the ducts/returns will go, etc.

Did you try Sears? My aunt used Sears a few years ago and she had no problem. Also try the yellow pages or even the BBB.

Sears subcontracts out. Just be sure to be on board with that. We ended up going through Sears and had no issues or complaints. We are super happy. Able Air Conditioning were the ones who did our install. Chat Icon

That's interesting. I actually spoke to Sears too and they happened to leave out that little tidbit. Chat Icon
