For those who have taken family portraits from a proffessional photographer?

How do they handle when babies or kids who do not cooperate? Do they charge a sitting fee? Do they reschedule? What do they do? You can FM who you used and what they did if you like.

I'm pretty sure most family photographers go into every session knowing that children/babies are just not going to cooperate. Most have lots of experience in getting them to cooperate for just a little bit, like goody bags and games to play in order to get shots they want.

It depends on the photographer, I'm sure some have sitting fees but each are different. I would inquire with each photography whose photos and style you like best. Good luck!

I havent had a family portrait done in years. But the photographer we used to use (who is actually a good friend of mine now and has moved on to weddings) Would always reschedule the shoot if need be. Usually stressing to the parents that sometimes you'll be pleasantly surprised at the outcome of the photos.

I, myself, will gladly reschedule a reshoot if the client isnt happy with the photos.....
