For those who have Rhodedendron

I am contempating having our landscaper plant these. After the flower season is done, do you like the plant that is left for the rest of the season? Do you have more than 1 variety to increase the color staying power. TIA!

ETA:for each variety of species, is it fair to say that the flowers last typically 2 weeks?

My rhodies are one of my favorites in the garden. They're easy to take care of, give large full flowers and stay green in the winter.

We have 2 of the same variety but I like your idea of having diffferent varieties.

I love them because they are evergreen. They keep their leaves in the winter so you don't have a bunch of dead bushes/empty planting beds in the Winter. I get all evergreen bushes.

Same here!

We had HUGE ones in the front of the house & transplanted them to the side for privacy when we redid the front.

Love these!
