For those who did their own "cake smash shoot"
I did it professionally with DD, but thought I would try to do it myself with DS.
Besides cake, and a bath tub for after-- what supplies did you use? And any tips on mitigating the mess?

Re: For those who did their own "cake smash shoot"
we put up a backdrop and bought a cheap bedspread at target for DS to sit on. since it was cheap, when we were done all i had to do was scoop it up and throw it in the wash. i don't remember if all the icing came out, but it didn't really matter.

Re: For those who did their own "cake smash shoot"
I used a sheet for the backdrop and a sheet for DS to sit on. I made the cake myself. I also bought a tie and put together our radio flyer. I blew up a dozen balloons (by mouth) and then also had 6 balloons filled with helium so they would stand. Here are 2 of mine:
ETA: pics too big, I put them in my album

For the mess-Paper towels first then then bath. Use a backdrop paper and just toss after that. You can probably just tape to a wall. You don't need a stand.
ETA you cant ger the 54 inch rolls for $25 on amazon or adorama and use the rest as large coloring paper for the kids later. (they lay down on the floor with huge sheets of paper- fun!)
